Eileen R. Baer

August 5, 1924 To March 17, 2008

Mrs. Eileen R. Baer, 83, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on March 17, 2008 at her daughter’s home in Belleville, following a lengthy illness. She was born on August 5, 1924 in Toledo, Ohio, a daughter of Rex & Ethel (Ennis) Hoot. On March 8, 1946, she was married to Robert B. Baer in Toledo, Ohio.

She recently moved to the Belleville/Canton area to be close to her daughter, Connie Swinney. Eileen’s greatest joy was being a wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, reading and was an accomplished seamstress. While she was here, Eileen attended St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Belleville.

Eileen is survived by her daughter, Connie Swinney of Belleville, her son Randy (Patricia) Baer of Arizona, her grandson, Lt. Ira Lee (Georgia) Swinney, Jr., 5 other grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Also survived by 2 brothers, 2 sisters and her dear friends, Donna Robertson and Bill Jacobs. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 2 stepsons.

Funeral services for Mrs. Baer will be held at Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home in Oregon, Ohio. Local arrangements were entrusted to Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home. (734) 697-9400.
