Mrs. M. Claire Nightingale passed away peacefully

Thursday, July 1, 2010 surrounded by her family.

She was born January 12, 1935 in

Stoney Pointe, Ontario, Canada

a daughter of Joseph Louis and

Albertine Florida ( Beaune ) Tremblay.

On September 18, 1965 she was married

to Gordon Francis Nightingale in

Detroit, Michigan moving to

Brighton from Livonia in 1975.

Mrs. Nightingale was a member

of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

She was active in the United Way,

The Red Cross and the

Livingston Womens Club.

Mrs. Nightingale is survived by her loving husband

of 44 years, Gordon F. Nightingale of Brighton.

Dear mother of Lisa ( Gregory ) Burkart of Brighton

and Lori ( Edoardo ) Amat of Kalamazoo.

Loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren.

Sister of 8 brothers and sisters;

Rita, Paul, Cecile, Gerard, Mary Jane,

Doris, Juliette and Gertrude “Gert”.

Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Nightingale was preceded in death by

her beloved grandson Johnny on June 21, 2010.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2010

from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the

funeral liturgy at 1:00 P.M. at

St. Patrick Catholic Church,

711 Rickett Rd., Brighton, MI 48116.

The family has suggested memorial contributions

to the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers.
