Mrs. Mary Jane Whinnie passed away Monday, July 19, 2010

at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.

She was born December 8, 1924 in Buffalo, New York

a daughter of Benjamin and Winnifred ( Parks ) DeLorey.

In 1944 she was married to George Whinnie in

Detroit, Michigan moving to

Belleville from Detroit in 1984.

Mr. Whinnie preceded her in death

on November 24, 1979.

Mr. Whinnie was a member of

St. Anthony Catholic Church and the AARP.

Her greatest love and joy was her family.

Mrs. Whinnie is survived by her 3 loving children;

John Whinnie of Oden, William ( Judy ) Whinnie

of Florida and Lawrence Whinnie of Livonia.

Fond grandmother of 14 grandchildren

and 7 great grandchildren.

Sister of George DeLorey of Florida.

Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Whinnie was preceded in death by her

4 children; Ronald, Valerie, Suzanne and Sheila.

Visitation will be held on Wed., July 21, 2010

from 2 – 8 P.M. at the

Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home, 209 Main, Belleville.

Funeral mass will be held on Thurs., July 22, 2010

at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anthony

Catholic Church, 409 W. Columbia, Belleville.

Instate Thurs., July 22, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the church.

Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

The family has suggested memorial contributions

to St. Anthony Catholic Church,

409 W. Columbia, Belleville, MI 48111 in lieu of flowers.
