Mr. Hopson passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2010

at the Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit.

He was born February 13, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan

a son of Lloyd and Rose ( Dorr ) Hopson.

Mr. Hopson moved to Belleville 20 years ago

from the Romulus area.

He was a Lieutenant with the

Romulus Fire Department for many years.

He was also a member of the Romulus Rotary Club.

He coached little league football and

baseball for a number of years.

Mr. Hopson was a partner for many years

with the Barhops Drive-Inn in Romulus.

Mr. Hopson is survived by his 7 children;

Thomas ( Tamara ) Hopson,

Jeffrey ( Vicki ) Hopson, Amy ( Clyde ) Coon,

Andrew ( Jody Grubbs ) Hopson,

John ( Stacie ) Roberts, Timothy ( Tara ) Roberts,

and Beth ( Tim ) Kilgore.

Loving grandfather of 18 grandchildren

and 2 great grandchildren.

Brother of Ron ( Ruth Ann ) Hopson.

Also survived by his long time companion

the “fur kid” Spike.

Visitation will be held on

Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 1 – 6 P.M.

at the Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home,

209 Main St., Belleville.

Funeral services will be on

Monday, January 18, 2010 at 11:00 A.M.

at the funeral home.

The family has requested memorial contributions

to the Romulus Rotary Foundation,

or the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
