Mrs. Velma Ruth Montie passed away

Saturday, March 19, 2011 at her home.

She was born November 17, 1928 in Robinson, Pennsylvania

a daughter of Floyd and Marie Elizabeth (Frain) Luker.

Mrs. Montie was married to Theodore Paul Montie

at their home in Sumpter Twp.

She enjoyed knitting, reading the bible and her flowers beds.

She was also a great help to her husband in the processing of venison.

Prior to her retirement in 2001 she had been employed at

Oakwood Hospital as a laundry worker for 25+ years.

Mrs. Montie is survived by her beloved husband Theodore P. Montie.

Loving mother of Carol Corrigan, James Warden,

Cathy (Dennis) Clark and Wayne Warden.

Fond grandmother of 4 grandchildren

and 1 great granddaughter.

Sister of George Luker, Wayne Luker and Jean Drolette.

Preceded in death by 1 grandson, 2 sisters and 1 brother.

Funeral services will held Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at

11:00 A.M. at the Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home, Belleville.

Visitation will be Monday, March 21, 2011 from 4 – 8 P.M.

and Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 1 – 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
