Narvell Turner

Narvell Lynn Turner, 49, of Sumpter Twp.

Narvell Lynn Turner was born on August 2, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan.  He was born to Joe Turner, Sr. and Polly Jean Turner, who preceded him in death.  Narvell was the second oldest of three children.

Narvell was educated in the Belleville Public School District.  He was well loved by family and friends.  Narvell met Lauren Campbell in 1976 and she stayed by his side until he departed on January 12, 2008.  He fathered four children, Danielle, Monique, Narvell and Shannon.

Narvell loved to spend time with his grandchildren and playing cards on the weekend.  He would do whatever he could to help anyone.  If there was a person or animal that needed a place to lay their head, he had open arms for everyone.  He departed this life on January 12, 2008.

Narvell leaves to cherish his memories, his caring partner, Lauren Campbell, his devoted father, Joe. Sr., four children, Monique (Douglas), Narvell (Sheena), Shannon, Danielle (Kareem); one brother, Joe Jr., one sister, Irene Renee (Tony); seven grandchildren, Shantay, Alana, Alyssa, Douglas, Kalin, Giovonni, Kirsten; 18 nieces and nephews, Christopher, Katherine, Joe 3^rd, Robert, Anastasia, Adrianna, Alexa, Danielle, Corzetta, Ashley, Britney, Tonisha, Shantel, Anthony Jr., Robert James, Lionelle, Jackita, Natalie and a host of cousins and friends.

Services for Narvell were held on January 18 at the Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home, Belleville, with Reverend Joe Jordan of Spiritual Israel Church and His Army presiding.  Cremation Rites have been accorded.
