Watts, Mernie; passed away July 6, 2009 at her home after a long illness.

She was born June 15, 1928 in Lincoln Park, MI, daughter of the late

Robert and Sarah Haggarty.

Beloved wife of 53 years to the late George B. Watts.

Loving mother of six children Mary Gemma (David) Ruhland of Lake Orion,

Laurie (Jerry) Johnson of Grandville, George B. Jr. (Laurie) of Howell,

John P. of Belleville, Sandy (Dan) Brady of Southgate and

Kelli (Fred) Oliver of Redford; beloved Grams to her 15 grandchildren

Sarah Brady, Patrick Ruhland, Meggan Watts, Garrett Ruhland, Danny Oliver,

Staci Oliver, Ethan Ruhland, Doug Oliver, Gemma Oliver, Bailey Johnson,

Kelsey Johnson, Molly Oliver, Ainsley Oliver and Eli Oliver.

She is also survived by her brother John P Haggarty of Canton, OH.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Mackenzie Watts,

brothers Robert and William Haggarty and sister Marjorie, May.

She lived in Wyandotte, Southgate, Bay City, Okemos and

Portage before settling in Belleville in 1983.

Per her wishes, her body were donated to the University of Michigan Medical School.

A Funeral Mass to celebrate her life will be held

Saturday, July 18th at 11:00 a.m. at

St. Anthony Catholic Church, 409 W. Columbia, Belleville

with Fr. Tom Cusick.

Friends and relatives may meet with the family from 9-11 a.m. prior to mass.
