Myrtle Wood

Myrtle “Myrt” Wood, 78, of Belleville, passed away on Sunday, February 4^th, 2007 at her home. She was born on February 4^th, 1929 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Henry & Elizabeth (Volk) Uhrich.

Myrtle was a resident of Belleville for over forty years. She took great joy in her family, painting and poker machines. She was a member of the Belleville Moose, Romulus VFW and the Van Buren Eagles.

Before her retirement she worked as a barmaid at the Moose & VFW.

Beloved mother of Diana (Bob) Lawson, Shauna (Darby) Rorke, Lisa (Larry) England and Kelly (Ralph) Tucker. Cherished grandmother of Michael Dudash, Shaun Dudash, Christine (Bill) Argo, Kim (Ron) DeVore, Erin (David) Simpson, Kristin England, Kaitlin England, Matthew England, Amber Wood, Joshua Tucker and Kenny Tucker and several great grandchildren. Myrtle is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Willis and Grace Sutton. Preceded in death by her loving partner, Clarence DePas, her parents, her brother George and two sisters Vera and Bernice.

Myrtle will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Higgerson & Neal Funeral Home, 734-697-9400, from noon to 2 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
